In Saudi Arabia, a new generation of leaders — women and men — is reshaping the horizons of innovation in our country. Brilliant minds blessed by God, energetic ambitions by His grace, and a clear purpose: the impact they make inspires appreciation and admiration.
I had the honor of meeting a group of them in Kyoto during the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum. In their conversations and contributions, I saw the exceptional talent we possess, nurtured across generations under God's care, and their depth of knowledge and confidence in engaging with the world.
It was a particular source of pride to listen to His Excellency Dr. Munir Al-Dasouqi, President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Her Excellency Professor Einas Al-Issa, Vice Minister of Education, and distinguished members of their teams. In their words and presentations, I found the knowledge and work that underpin this confidence.
It is difficult to put into words how I felt as I listened to them.
Kyoto was beautiful. The forum was exceptional. And my pride in being Saudi was profound.
We wore our national dress and stood with our identity among some of the world's brightest minds. The world heard the brilliance of the minds of our country's sons and daughters.
Congratulations to the Kingdom on the women and men working in the field, carrying its heritage, advancing its standing through knowledge and work, and opening new horizons for it and the world.
How deeply moving it is to see your country's sons and daughters so faithful to their roots, so confident in their presence, and so capable of contributing to the highest aspirations of the world. To meet the best it has to offer, match it, and take knowledge to greater horizons, while remaining true to who they are.
