A United Nations update on its staff detained in Yemen reported that the Houthis continued to hold 72 current employees and five former employees.
The update noted the release of one World Food Programme employee, while the organization continued to monitor the situation of the remaining detainees. Yemen's extensive humanitarian needs make protecting humanitarian workers and allowing aid to reach beneficiaries especially important.
