Oil prices fell at Wednesday's settlement after a volatile session, following an International Energy Agency agreement to accelerate stockpile releases and prioritize diesel inventories.
Brent declined 38 cents to $100.20 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate fell $1.16 to $88.28. The agency said accelerating announced releases could make about 100 million barrels available to the market amid geopolitical pressure on supplies.
