Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received Sheikh Khalid bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today, Sunday, as part of the fraternal relations and joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
In the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Khalid bin Salman conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, while Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed conveyed his greetings to the Saudi leadership.
The two sides discussed the fraternal and historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and ways to develop bilateral cooperation to enhance mutual interests and benefit the peoples of the two countries.
The meeting also reviewed the most important regional developments and the latest updates, and the two sides exchanged views on the situation in the region and the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination to support efforts for security, stability, and achieving lasting peace.
Present at the meeting were Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Thani bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Dr. Mohammad bin Hamad bin Thani Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President, along with several ministers and officials.
The meeting comes as part of the communication and coordination between the leadership of the two countries on issues of mutual interest, in light of the developments taking place in the region.
