The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is preparing to implement a decision to localize several professions in private sector sports centers and gyms, starting from November 18, 2026, as announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in partnership with the Ministry of Sports.
The specified localization rate in the decision is 15%, and it includes establishments employing four workers or more.
What jobs are included in the decision?
The ministry stated that the decision includes 12 sports professions, including the sports trainer, professional football coach, sports supervisor, private sports trainer, and professional track and field coach.
The decision aims to enhance job opportunities for Saudi competencies in the sports sector and support the development of services provided in sports centers and gyms.
The ministry confirmed the availability of support programs to help targeted establishments attract and train national cadres, as well as benefit from the programs of the Human Resources Development Fund "Hadaf".
The ministry urged establishments to comply with the controls mentioned in the procedural guide of the decision, in preparation for the implementation of the decision at the specified date.
