The Saudi Maritime and Logistics Conference 2026 kicked off in Jeddah, with participation from leaders, experts, and specialists in maritime transport and logistics services, to discuss the efficiency of international trade, the reliability and sustainability of supply chains.
Saudi Transport Authority Chairman Fawaz Al-Suhaili stated that developing transport and logistics services is a priority within the national sector strategy, noting the launch of more than 33 new maritime navigation services, and the role of more than 500,000 trucks in connecting ports to factories and warehouses within the Kingdom and the Gulf countries.
The conference, over two days, will address port competitiveness, maritime infrastructure security, sustainability of transport and alternative fuels, as well as building an integrated national logistics system and opportunities in the maritime economy and tourism.
