Riyadh Municipality Expands Use of Body Cameras in Inspection Visits
Riyadh Municipality has begun expanding the use of body cameras for inspectors after a trial that documented more than 600 inspection visits in three weeks.

Riyadh Municipality announced the expansion of using body cameras for inspectors during inspection visits to establishments in Riyadh, aiming to enhance the level of documentation, transparency, and compliance with municipal regulations.
The expansion followed a proof-of-concept trial that lasted three weeks and documented more than 600 inspection visits.
The municipality stated that audio and video recording provides a reference for the course of the visit, and helps in reviewing procedures and verifying observations and objections, which protects the rights of the parties and improves the quality of monitoring and follow-up.
