The Ministry of Commerce explained that the new Commercial Transactions Law comprises 271 articles, bringing sales, supply, brokerage, commercial agency and commercial papers into a unified framework.
It replaces three previous laws and permits those aged 15 to conduct business with authorization under applicable rules. It takes effect 180 days after publication in the Official Gazette.
